I discovered a way to apply beeswax to a painting without messing it up, after I thought I had ruined one of my own paintings.
NOTE: To all of you who keep writing and telling me how you have a much better method using a heat gun or whatever: Great! Make a video about it. I am sure others will find it very useful. However, this video is about a method I perfected without having to buy any fancy equipment because that is the kind of artist I try to be! Nothing irks me more than having to run to Michael's every time I want to create something. I always try to create using whatever I already have. That is how artists got by many years ago - by using whatever they had.
EWWW! So sorry about the filthy oven in this video. We had just bought the house, and the people who lived in it were pigs! I trashed that oven and bought a new one soon after this video was made. :)
As I mentioned in the description: for those of you who keep writing to me, telling me how you have a better method using a heat gun or whatever: my method doesn't cost anything!

@ladyjarhead : Tried. This works a lot better, as long as it is a small enough painting to fit in your oven. Thanks for watching. Lynne

it would be easier if u used a heat gun, embossing gun or even a blow dryer to fuse the beeswax onto the surface. just till it gets shinny.
