@aerodynamicband When would you rather use surplus than commercial? WTF?
-
@Lonewolf6565 I was thinking it was the other way around.hmm ok Then I am way off base.sry and thanks..
-
@pshaw61 .308 fires at greater chamber pressures than 7.62x51 and can cause damage.
-
@Lonewolf6565 lol ok boss no need to get upset I was just saying what I know about my AR 10 wow Have a great day.
-
@pshaw61 you dont know what the fuck you are talking about. Enjoy having a rifle that starts to fall apart prematurely.
-
@Lonewolf6565 Its if its 7.62 then its ok to put 308 thur it not the other way around and it will not hurt the gun
at all.

it seems alot of kids are teaching kids in here...

AWESOME!!!

@Lonewolf6565 You blow your weapon up you have to go back and buy more parts just like . Yea Drive it like you stole it. Hotter it gets the better it works.

@Lonewolf6565 on an armalite ar-10 it says multi. on the barrel so it can fire either one with out a problem.
i have a question is it safe to run commercial .308 through one of these or do you have to use just surplus ball ammo

@aerodynamicband The only way commercial .308 wouldn't be safe would be if you jacked a round in, pointed the muzzle at yourself or somebody else, and pulled the trigger.

@aerodynamicband
only put .308 through the weapon if it is specifically chambered for .308. if the gun is chambered to only fire 7.62 dont put .308 through it. .308 fires at greater pressures than the 7.62 and can lead to catastrophic failures if the weapon isnt designed to fire the .308.

@Lonewolf6565 From Armalite's website:
10-7. QUESTION: Is the chamber on an AR-10 .308 or 7.62? ANSWER: All of our AR-10s are NATO chambered and will accept both 7.62 and .308 ammo. The AR-10 can shoot 308 or 7.62 NATO. See the AR-10 owner’s manual for more detailed ammo information.
