Your example of Israel, Nazi Era Germany, Iraq, etc, proves my point. What happened to him (IN AMERICA) as far as his career, his safety, his FREEDOM, is very much analogous to something that would happen (short of death mind you) in………NAZI ERA GERMANY, ISRAEL & IRAQ.
