Their last UK release on Decca and the first to feature 'Eric Burdon' in the band's name. Charted at No.14. Written by Scott English and Larry Weiss. The pair went on to pen 'Bend Me, Shape Me', 'Hi Ho Silver Lining' and even Manilow's 'Mandy'

  • i love this tune, its the best track they did,

  • This is DEFINETELY one of my all time favorite songs!!!! Waaaaaaaayyyyy Hot!!! :)

  • @leegenix how was he murdered why was he murdered who did it eric is not the worlds most reliable source of information he imagines conspiracys he said the heaviest police force in the world is after him the IRS

  • Regarding the death of Hendrix, Eric Burden really does not say much about it. Jimi's girlfriend called Eric when she found his body. He told her to call for an ambulance or some other type of assistance. She did, but much later. My gut feeling is Hendrix was murdered. I don't recall the details, but you can find it on the web.

  • @leegenix : Thanks for confirming Animals bassist Chas Chandler. He did very good work in this song, just as each other member did. You say Hendrix passed-away under strange circumstances? The news people always told us it was a drug overdose. Odd how so many musicians pass under strange circumstances.

  • @terrafirma91 I agree, it sounds like Chas Chandler. These musicians were not slouches. They knew their stuff. Chandler discovered Jimi Hendrix and managed him to some degree. The Animals and Hendrix were good friends. Hendrix died under unusual circumstances. Only Eric Burdon knows what really happened, but has kept silent all these years, perhaps out of fear.

  • Sid, I love you man. Thank you very much.

  • I had almost forgotten about this song until recently. I always thought the bass line was well done. I think the Animals bassist (Chandler?), did a good job on this one.

  • Luv U Eric!

  • The "Outsiders" a Cleveland group did this also.
