There are so many idiots that don't respect our Korea, Vietnam, Desert Storm and Gulf War, or Iraq and Afghanistan vets. Every soldier deserves respect, no matter what war or what country. All our Vietnam vets and vets and of all other wars America was involved in did their duty and put their lives on the line for our country and did what they had to do. Many young men never came home again and many more came home not only with physical wounds, but mental wounds.

I also agree, my father was a Navy Seal in Vietnam, UDT before that, he was only 18 when he started , at 20 he lost one friend Ricky only 19 who stepped on a land mine and told the others to get clear before stepping off it losing his leg and my father had to shoot him to end his suffering, He thought me about sacrifice and in my opinion to ignore or insult what any veteran has done is a direct insult to those who fought and lived and more so to those who died so their brothers could come home.

my dad heard this song and couldn't take it, brought back flashbacks of nam, he got hit in tet, and two of his friends were killed, I do love how big n rich recognized the service men that don't get nearly enough respect for what they did

This video brings me to tears every time!!!! A long time ago, I lived down the road from a Vietnam Vet.....Because he was in the jungle fighting he suffered almost constantly from Agent Orange...Little did I know then about what our service men did!!!! God bless all who are serving and all who have served!!!

This is a very touching song my Grandfather was US Navy Seal and he lost both his legs in a mortar attack and he received a medal of honor from the president and a purple heart and he is a very honorable man he jumped in front of a bullet just to save his brother...Hes gained respect by many high government officials and now hes a CIA agent and hes never let anyone down...give our vets respect they put there lifes on the line for something they chose to do

Whoever told you that it was not respectful to talk to them has got their priorities wrong. It doesn't matter when the veteran served, how long ago they served, what branch they served, or if they even weren't in a war thank them. They do appreciate it.

It is VERY respectful to talk to thank them for their duty! Living around an army base for nearly 3 months, I got the honour to meet many soldiers. Each time, thanking them for what they've done, and each time in return, they were thankful for us stopping long enough to care. I also had the honour of meeting a WW2 vet. He was a waist gunner and a bird named "Lone Angel". He was shot down twice and still lives to tell his tale......Most awesome man I have ever met!

for some reason some told me it was not respectful to talk to them but I always looked at them with a smile anyway :) I shall now know that talking to the vets is a ok thing to do :)
