a mocca chiffon flavored cake with royal boiled icing. decorated with printed picture of the celebrant in an edible paper and ink with pink borders on the sides and on top edges.

  • kuya gumawa po ako ng boiled icing. I used candy thermometer para sa syrup pero ganun pa rin.. ng ilagay ko sa cake mga ilang minutes nalusaw... Ano po kayang kulang? thanks from Canada

  • baka kulang ang mixing time. ang mixing time ko between 15 to 20min. after that i let it rest for 20 min, and start again in low speed for 5 min.

    or maybe your syrup is not sticky enough. i usually pour my syrup into the mixer ,5 min. after the syrup start to boil.

  • saan kayo sa Pinas? Kami taga Cebu City, pero sa Norway na kami nakatira ngayon, Dito ako gumagawa ng mga cake ko. ang mga pinoy dito ayaw nila ng fondant cake. gusto nila para goldilock. ang procedure

    ilagay mo ang asukal, tubig at drop of lemon sa boiling pan, initin mo hanggang maging syrup. i mix mo ang eggwhites with cream of tartar , 5 min. after the syrup start to boil. kapag nag foam na ang maringue. slow down the speed,slowly pour the syrup into the maringue. repeat this 3 times

  • sir, may recipe po ba kyo ng boiled icing na ginamit nyo d2 sa cake. hirap kse ako ifrost ang cake sa boiled icing recipe na gamit ko masyado sticky tsaka mabilis magset.same icing po ba ginamit nyo sa roses.salamat ng marami and more power.

  • same icing ang ginamit ko sa mga bulaklak sa corner , but the ones with ribbons are gum paste. ang recipe ay

    6 pcs. egg white

    450 gms refined sugar

    2 drops of lemon or limonsito

    1 tsp. cream of tartar

    3/4 cup of water

    and most important a good mixer ,if you have kitchen aids the better.

  • Hi. may problem din ako sa boiled icing. Minsan kasi nagmemelt ang icing ko pag byinabyahe yung cake. Kahit na matagal ko imix nagmemelt o bumabagsak adin. Then, I thought na baka sa kapal ang dahilan. Naisip ko kasi maybe it's because makapal ako mag apply ng icing minsan. Maybe you can help me.

    Hello Mr.master baker....i came originally from davao city, living now in switzerland.... as you wrote, ayaw din nila ang fondant dito,even my family...type pa rin nila ang style natin, the boiled icing,ofcourse the more colors mas maganda....

    actually i took the idea from your ube cake with edible pic for my daugther's14th bday..

  • Hello po Kuya.. nagtry ko ba kay mocrust man siya after a few hours inig butang nako sa cake.. natural ra ni sa boiled icing? if kong dili , unsay reason nganong mocrust man? thank u daan sa respond..

  • burikay: maybe may eggyolk ang eggwhite mo.. or oily ang bowl mo... usually magiging soggy or it will collapse... anong temp sa candy thermometer? 120-125 is the ideal temp. pero if you're like masterbaker... M-M lang ang pag gawa nya... sa Mata-Mata... or if sa tagalog... sa pag tingin hehehehehe
