@rgc675 I've never seen anyone 6'2" who weighs 134lbs. Sounds like your fat and can't haul your own body weight. Sorry if I'm wrong.

I keep reading alot of posts here and some people have Crossfit so wrong. Cross fit isn't a gym membership. Its almost like a lifestyle. The one I go to we all know each other we all pull for each other and we've all become friends and we all compete against each other at the same time. If you miss a day believe me you are missed.
There's nothing like seeing someone new come in and see the struggle they go through and then in a months progression you see how far they have come. Thats crossfit.

@rgc675 you be able to move your own body around

@rgc675 Get you're fat ass off the couch and maybe you'll lose enough weight to do better at body weight exercises. I'm only 5'10" and 230 lbs. I can't do what they do in as fast a time. But I get it done.

I started cf just a few months ago. My "big strong army guy" husband just kept saying he'd come do my little workout then take me out for a run. Well he finally came with me one day. I handed him his butt on a silver platter. He threw up 1/4 way in and could not finish the workout. he was so stunned he had to sign up.

Theres a reason why most of the members of Special Forces in all the branches of the US military do this or equivalent workouts. Its not even just anout the workouts, the people that immersre themseves in this lifestyle are stellar individuals. It beats the hell out of working out alone or at some Golds gym type place.

I'm convinced that all the CF haters out there could never make it through this workout...

why is the music for the cross fit video so awful? Is that part of the endurance process? Having to endure listening to sh*t music?
I've been doing crossfit for 6 months. Lost 30 lbs, increased stamina, and for once in my life since highschool sports (I'm 29) been consistently active and made progress physically. I've been a member of local gyms, and when I was in college worked out periodically at the school gyms... If people get off on being meatheads, good on em. Don't be a hater. Crossfit is kick ass and has helped me a ton! Beats any gym I've gone to PERSONALLY. I don't want to be a meathead, just great health!

@biggamejames79 I totally agree that "box" memberships are way to expensive. If I were a high level athlete, however, I would give serious consideration to a month or two membership for the sake of learning how to do the olympic lifts, and progression into gymnastics which could put you at a serious athletic advantage in certain sports, especially combat sports. After a few months of coaching, drop the membership and invest in your own equipment and set yourself up with home gym.
