Murray Gold really emphasized that second melody that most other themes kind of buried... ohohoh and that Epic! orchestral sound! ♥ ♥ ♥ *geeking out*

I thought I'd try my hand at doing the whole music arranging/picture-in-picture thing. I always gape in awe at the other people who do it on Youtube.

....IT'S A HUGE PAIN!!!!!!! ... The audio sounded really gross originally... so I had to add it in separately so it wouldn't be ugly and screechy. ;x;

out of curiosity... is the fact that you look kinda like matt smith as the doctor in this video (mostly the hair and bowtie) on purpose, or was it a rather subconscious decision? its just barely similar enough to either be an extremely well done case of subtlety, or just plain not a conscious decision (which is still awesome).

@13thVulture Oh...I didn't know it could be considered "subtle" .__. ...but, yes... I thought it would be neat to dress up a little bit like char. from the show I'm covering a song from (just using clothes from my own closet)... instead of just wearing whatever-random-tshirt like some YouTube musicians do :p

i've been playing violin for 6 years and im wondering what positions you were using (I'm looking at the music as the video plays)

@icecreamichelle hmm...well for the big shift in the 1st part I went from D string 1st position to A string 7th position, shifting back down to 3rd position D string. The rest is just going between 3rd and 1st positions, and the fingering I did on the runs was 123412123 going from A to E strings. After that, 1st to 3rd positions....... The other 2 parts I just went between 1st and 3rd positions wherever it sounded good. I hope that helps o_o

This is amazing! I once tried to arrange a version of this... But I failed. And it took my an entire hour just to get the main theme (the one with the bowtie and the suspenders) and begin figuring out the one in the bottom left corner.
