  • lol @ the cat 11:08 woot

  • @Spinal2111 She's sabotaged a lot of our video shoots, but she's a great cat!

  • what brand are these stones?

  • @ButhThe KING waterstones. You can find them available online at our website found in the description above.

  • hey Mr. carter, i'm sitting here in my kitchen sharpening a knife using the techniques you gave me in the free tips. currently, however, i am trying to sharpen a cheap serrated edge, trying to make it a more traditional flatter edge. but doing that using very shallow strokes takes a very long time. when doing this, if you do, do you use a higher angle of attack and then lower the edge? or do you still use a shallow stroke?

  • @iilovebooks If you're trying to make you're knife a plain edge you need to lay the knife flat on the stone and grind away the serrations. In Murray's Introduction to Knife Sharpening he actually shows how to grind away a serrated edge - I think you would find this video very informative for your needs. Hope that helps!

    Thanks for watching!
