The plow I have on that truck is a western wideout... It has powered wings that take it from a 8'-10' plow with a scoop mode. My other truck has an 8'6" western uni-mount with no wings... I would never trade a set wings!!! They are awesome!!! You can carry more snow, and also relocate snow if needed... And they make the plow, on average 2' wider!!!

Only reason for the crewcab is we had twin boys, otherwise I would have kept the reg cab. On the 2011 diesels I hear they have an extra tank for some type of emmision fluid during the regeneration process... And if your out of fluid the computer cuts engine power??? Can't prove this, just a rumor???

Hey powerstroke64l... Sorry it took so long to respond... Truck looks great!!! Hit those piles a little harder.. You won't break it... Hope this vid helps... I did the same thing the first couple of times I've plowed... It doesn't feel right cramming $50+ grand into a wall of snow but it gets easier... and the boy will love it... My twin boys do... I like the short wheelbase, the long wheelbase is like driving a school bus!!! For plowing the bigger stuff it's great... As for driveways it sucks!!! And the long wheelbase will be worse... Also the ride in the lwb is kinda funky... Jmo...

I got the strobes off eBay, their whelen 90watt hideaway strobes... I think there the best, we use them at work as well

Yes it has a DEF tank for emissions. Thats why they were able to get 400 HP and 800 lb/ft of torque. You have to really screw yourself to get to the point that you go into limp mode.

@pushin4u The 2011 6.7L Powerstroke uses DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) to reduce emissions.
