Tourettes Syndrome: A Million Little Tics

A documentary me(ben) and steve made for our film and video class. By the way I actually have tourettes so were not makin fun of people with it just so everyone knows so we dont get any hate mail or anything, were jus explaining sum of the actual complications that tourettes causes me, an jus a few obvious exagertations we put in so our class would actually take intrest and pay attention to it cnsidering its length. Oh my goodness the board game did make me laugh and the other stuff did kind of but it was true... And I have had those things where I literally knock things over and they do go flying across the room. By the way I didn't get the whole car scene, an extra thing you got a kick out of for your class and yourselves? They tried clonidine on me, lowered my bloodpressure too much so now trying a different one, ugh! Good project & good thing on the friendship part :). End of video, ur real tics?

@herding123 Lol ya the car scene was just for kicks for me and my mates. Because it was for a class project we thought we would put it in there to keep the rest of the class entertained considering every other groups vid was only 3 minutes long and ours was a lot longer. I wanted people to understand more about how I deal with my tourettes and how tourettes really effects peoplem, but at the same time I wanted to make people laugh aswell.

@herding123 and regarding the tics at the end of the video during the interview, were for the most part exaggerate only because during the day of filming my tics decided to be almost untoicable for once and the main point of the interview was to show how my body is affected by my tics even when im just sitting in a comfortable enviornment. So because we wernt getting the natural effect that actually happens to me on most days that we wanted for the video we had to exaggerate them in this case.

LOL yah thought so! So your guys' video was 3x as long but who cares :) It made me laugh so I'm sure they were too especially knowing u personally as classmates. Isn't it crazy how at the times you want the tics to be there for docs or whatever they decide to go away? Just of course! Pretty accurate then for you though a little over the top as your saying; so true for others w/ TS too like myself. I'm going 2 watch this everytime I'm really mad @ my tourettes so I can laugh instead! :-D Kris

@herding123 Hahaha o jesus man tell me about it, its so frustrating when that happens especially when your trying to convince them that ur current meds arnt working the way they should be! Haha! Glad you enjoyed it mate, thats why we did it. For education and and to have a laugh. So I hope this helps you when times get tough bud cuz for me,u, and everyone else with TS all get the exact same feeling at times. Glad u enjoyed it mate, cheers :)

i wish i could drive but i can. the TS effects my hands and head way too much and it makes me scared to drive. i love ur vid tho hopefully vids like this will help spread the awerness of TS if ne1 has TS send me a msg id like to find others with it to talk to

@ellimist6 O does it really? Ive been lucky enough to make myslef be able to control my tourettes enough in situations that I need absolute concentration on like the driving for example. And im glad u liked the vid :) I wanted to try to make people more aware about tourettes but at the same time have fun with it aswell. I think its important that people realize what tourettes exactly is because for the most part people are only aware what the media makes tourettes out to be
