You've kept these up after Obama quadruples the dept, strengthens wire tap law, did nothing with gitmo, ramps up both wars and starts a whole brand new war aftrer what you said? Really??
You are an intelligent thinker and a patriotic American. For the most part, we both strive for the same ideals. It's just that our means to arrive at the goal may be different. That doesn't mean that we can't find common ground to push towards reform.
I like how your concept of inheriting a "crappy" situations in govt only applies to Carter!
Yes, Clinton had a budget surplus. He rode the coattails of the (dot) com boom, and the govt. received lots of capital gains tax revenues. Actually, if you analyze the data, spending actually increased by 29% under Clinton. Taxes also increased. None of the surplus went towards paying off the debt, so what good did it do?
Europe, better education, and better health care. What is this based on?
Conservatism does not equal Republican. Us "real" conservatives are not happy with Bush, let's be clear there. Classic example of not following through with campaign promises.
Yeah, let's not get into the 1st amendment, and the liberal Democrat's pushing of the Fairness Doctrine. I'm not worried about it passing, but the mindset is there.
As far as the budget committee bit: Again, you're confusing conservatism with Republicanism. They don't always go hand in hand.
Man if I had the time I would love 2 take you on in a Vid Debate! I will keep an eye on you and when I have some time I will give it a shot... Peace...
