Tookie looks bad here. He is not sick. He is not dying. He has been doing this to himself on and off for years. I don't know why and I have tried almost everything I can to stop it. DO NOT tell me that he is sick etc. I am AWARE of it as he is MY bird and I SEE him everyday.

To anyone else thankyou for watching and commenting.

  • he doesnt even look real, that is an awsome bird !

  • I have female blue and my parents have a male blue. They are amazing birds. Your bird looks very healthy.... maybe he is just stressed or something. Do you give him vitamins? He is still beautiful :)

  • @BigManTonka I think it may be stress related and now it's become his habit. Just like biting your fingernails.

  • he is stress he needs a frend

  • @hazeb2195 he has a friend. Thanks.

  • Sounds like you take wonderful care of him, and he is precious. Is he a compulsive feather plucker? Or was he molting a lot?(I find him to be cute and fluffy despite missing feathers :P ) Anyway, thank you for posting. He is adorable, and talented! I wish my sun conure, Tweeter, had these skills. How do you encourage talking? :)

  • Dude ur bird is really stressed out because he is ouling his feathers out

  • He has the most adorable voice! <3

  • beautiful bird! Any idea what color his parents were? Still trying to figure out the genetics of how to get a male lutino. lol

  • What a shame...Mr Birdy is REALLY cute

  • Anyway, your bird talks a lot and it looks really sweet. It looks kinda cute missing all those feathers. Mine now looks like a duck with no wings or long tail feathers, which also looks cute now that I have gotten used to it.

  • I have a green male IRN and he does that too, but he only chews his big feathers. The chewing started when my roommate complained about the noise so I had to temporarily put him and his cage-mate, a female lutino IRN in my (walk in) closet, while I looked for a new place. Most of the time they are uncaged but it's either stress or not having enough day light, but they both developed a chewing problem. She stopped but he didn't. I have tried everything. I guess it's just a bad habit now.

  • @flygsvinn There are people on here with 12 birds, a bunch of them with partners, and they still do it. It is exactly like biting your nails, once it starts, its almost impossible to stop in birds.

  • @flygsvinn i have four cockateils...they get along really well...they are like companions....and yet two of them are always pulling out their pin feathers
