this is a supper aciton movie.

I was planning on going to this today. I was looking forward to it - but ... now I won't because I hadn't realized how sort of slap stick it was. Larger than life as someone earlier said. I'm disappointed and I really didn't think Meryl got the voice down as well as I'd hoped. I guess I just didn't realize it was such a comedy.

I saw this movie and then I checked out Julie Powell's blog. The movie played her as sweet and charming but her blog about cooking her way through the cookbook sounded like it was written by a sailor. She has a foul mouth on her and wasn't always kind about Julia's recipes. Guess the movie wouldn't be popular if they played her true to form. LOVED the movie - HATED her blog.

while i agree with jaredkeithwite, i can see your perspective. i just read a parents guide and it said that there is sex implied between married couples, but the big reason it's pg13 is for language.

so there is sex scenes in it?

imnotsure345 (or anyone else concerned about inappropriate content in this movie):

there are a couple scenes that imply sex (pretty obviously in 1), but it IS with a married couple every time. all 4 main characters (julie and her husband, and julia and her husband) are all completely faithful to their spouses, if you're worried.

i watched it with my girlfriend last month or so, and i was kinda uncomfortable in a couple spots. don't take children unless you watch it first.

great movie though.
