With so many threats to America, what better way to forget our country's gloomy news than wearing the costume of your favorite super hero? That is the spirit at Comic-Con international, the comic book convention in Southern California, where people show up dressed as their favorite make believe character. But while thousands play dress up, there are some very graphic and painful problems, lurking just steps away from the convention.

  • So let me fucking get this straight. I'm supposed to be worried about the economy 24/7 and not do anything else that might be fun? Fuck, I better not sleep or eat either because of the "harsh realities" of america.... lol give me a fucking break.

  • "If U.S. morale is better served by us roaming the halls weeping, I will gladly defer to your journalistic expertise." [Spock]

  • I luled so hard at this. Yes, lets blame Comic-con for the country's problem because hey blaming others will fix everything. Since when was it anyone's responsibility to waste their money on someone else? Ugh, disgusting.

  • This reporter can't take a joke.

  • THOSE DANG NERDS.

  • this just isn't news, it's pathetic

  • You know guys, I think we should stop spending our money on Comicon and spend it on something more constructive.

Like flying out to these people to put a boot to their faces.

  • I felt like I nearly ruptured a blood vessel (out of anger) once I started watching this video... I mean, really? Of all places they want to blame Comic-con? They would have to give equal treatment with people who go on vacations or anything leisure related. Its too bad they didn't look further to see if there were any fundraisers for the 2011 Japan earthquake because I saw one at the convention I went to about 4 months ago.

  • Let's give him some credit, at least he knows that not everyone in Comic Con is not blind to the economy, unlike a certain BITCH known as Christine . . . who seems to have a personal vendetta against nerds.

But still, was the guilt tripping really necessary?

  • Why go after Comic-Con? Why not go to a fucking baseball game or a football game?
