that's because Lester was touring with a band when he was like 13 - home schooling while on tour - heard of any Christian drummers that were sacrificing at that level when they were 13? I don't.
If groove and fills where graded between secular and Christian drummers, Lester would have more A's than Oakland and he could easily sit in on any band; secular or Christian, you name it.

I heard a story that he can actually take off a jacket or shirt while playing and not miss a beat.
He really is a great drummer!
