Australia's most underrated band My Friend The Chocolate Cake performing the title track from their new 2007 album "Home Improvements" live on Network Ten's "9am with David and Kim", May 7, 2007.
Superb irony - this infomercial-ridden show was heavily sponsored by a company giving away $10000 in home improvements.
My Friend The Chocolate Cake (for the purposes of this excellent broadcast) comprises:
David Bridie - keyboards, vocals
Helen Mountfort - cello, vocals
Xani K - violin
Dean Addison - bass
Greg Patten (looking remarkably well) - drums, vocals
Absentees: Hope (nursing the baby), Andrew R and Andrew C (didn't get up in time?)
9am is filmed in Melbourne. ;)

Ah you're right! Thought I was responding to a comment about the Kerri-Anne one (it's been a short week but a long one...). OK... well, one must remember that in the studio there's reverb and other fairy dust added which can fill it out. YouTube is in mono also.

Hmmm doesn't have the same omph live.

With the full lineup it most certainly does. For this performance the (made in Sydney) show's budget did not extend to flying all the band members from Melbourne.
