Your thoughts on kill to death ratios are biased. Most of the videos you post are of objective based games (dom, hq), where KDR means nothing. What about those of us playing TDM?
In TDM, KDR is everything. The less deaths you have, the less score you give away to the enemy team. The more kills you have, the better your own team's score is.
Also, how about the fact that players like BlameTruth, xcalizorz, iBLeSs3d and SeaNanners all have an incredibly high KDR? Bad players can't get a high KDR.

TDM is about having more kills than your opponents. Me going 22-21 is in my eyes more beneficial than 21-18. The other person got more kills. If you played GB or any competitive game its about winning, getting the most kills its not about your K/D.
Any player can get an insane K/D spread by sitting in a corner and not moving...its not hard...but its not fun.
Your K/D is not everything and wont prove to you how good a player is.

If your team mates thought like you, you'd be giving away 180 points to the enemy in exchange for scoring 60 for your own team. Not good. Your theory would only hold true in FFA, where each of your own deaths doesn't add to the same opponent's score.
Sitting in a corner, not moving is called camping. Everyone knows that camping does NOT get you good scores, or a high KDR.
A high KDR is not something which is easy to achieve at all, and is a reasonably good measure of your skill level in TDM.

To win the gametype TDM do you or do you not have to have more kills than the other team? Yes you do...as a result your K/D is not an issue, my K/D doesn't reflect my ability because I sucked at this game when i first got it.
Your K/D goes up the more kills you get and goes down the more deaths you get. If you camp and dont die and get kills, it will go up.
