Qaddafi: Libyans Cannot Form a Union with Europeans Who Walk around Naked

Libyan leader Mu'ammar al-Qadhafi explains his opposition to the Mediterranean Union being advocated by French president Nicolas Sarkozy. He argues such a union is pointless if there cannot be unity among the Arabs of North Africa (the Maghreb region) and the Middle East. He further is against a union that would have to be accountable to Brussels with Europeans that "walk around naked".

Qaddafi knows that there will never be talks between western countries and Al-Qaïda, Hamas, Hezbollah because they will not engage in peace dialog with people who want to blow themselves up in order to get virgins in Paradise!

In light of recent developments in the Eurozone, Muammar Gaddafi's words of threee years ago make even more sense than ever. He spoke truth, and the world powers could not bear to have someone doing that. So finally they killed him.

The crazy thing is, Q has a point - I don't know about the Scandinavian culture of nudism, but the willingness of European women to walk around half naked. Arab women definitely would not do this. Somewhere I'd like to see a balanced view of this guy. Western media is determined to make sure he is seen as a crackpot who slaughters his own people rather than a head of state trying to diffuse an uprising. Maybe he is, but what is the other side of Qaddafi, the part of him our media doesn't show?
