Extra Musica - Denide

After taking the African music scene by storm with their first album, Extra Musica La Difference followed it up with another masterpiece. Personally I consider this their best album and the following their best song to date. The blending of the sweet melodic instruments and the vocal support is just extraordinary. Then there is the atalaku, Kila Mbongo, magical.

Kila was reported to have rejoined Zangul earlier last year(2007). His arrival was however not in time for the release of Zangul's Black Hand album. I haven't been following Zangul much these past few months BUT I gather that Kila is still there and his wonderful Wunda -style chants will soon decorate Zangul's forthcoming album.

I am glad to read your news about Kila going back! I am inetersted in how he will get along with the blond haired guy, the animator on the new album, I don't know his name. However as I remember they have already sung together on Shalai. On some tracks it seems I can hear both of them, am I right?

The blonde atalaku in question is Arafat, Le Palestinien. They shared the rapping duties on Shalai like you said and together they did a pretty good job. Arafat needs another established atalaku alogside him to restrain him otherwise he will just spoil the whole scene like he has done in most of Zangul's latest albums.
