This month's resource of the month is C.H. Spurgeon's classic devotional, "Morning and Evening." (I apologize for the wind in the background to this video. It happens sometimes when you're filming outside and don't have much time to reshoot the video.)

  • I agree, but I also let Scripture inerpret Scripture.

Annddd...FRANCE!? WHY WOULD YOU GO TO FRACE!? lol that bit was directed at the Blog author ;-)

  • 2) And your point in quoting Mathew 12:37 is what? To further demonstrate your ignorance by quoting a verse out of context and trying to misapply it? I have news for you - you dont know everything about the scriptures...so humble yourself to learn, Start with the Westminster Shorter Catechism. It's a 107 question /answer document that sums up the teachings of the scriptures very nicely. And please dont give me the line that your too puritannical to read anything outside of the Bible.

  • 1) Sorry - but you are under a false notion if you think that the scriptures teach us to disregard : God given teachers, church history, historical church doctrines and historical church councils in order to promote our own private interpretation as the final authority. This is why your faith is based on REBELLION rather than the Word of God. Sorry but you have allot to learn about being faithful to the Scriptures. You need to start by recognizing that you are not a spiritual authority!

  • Flying,

Your logic is ridiculous. Is Moses stil ALIVE? I guess we should disregard his teachings. Is Paul still ALIVE? I guess we should disregard his Epistles. Just because a Godly teacher has passed on does not mean we should disregard their teachings to the church. Unfortunatley - you have made yourself the ultimate authority - which is why you worship a false, man centered humanistic gospel.

  • Flying -

    1) The verse is referring to God's Sovereignty. God gives sight only to his Elect (not to everyone) but to those whom he planted and were chosen unconditionally before the foundation of the world to be saved, The verse proves that God is SOVEREIGNLY IN CONTROL and is a proof that Reformed Theology is the most faithful to the scriptures. as I've been telling you. Peter asked Jesus to explain because Jesus was still on earth before teachers were given to the church.
