  • @commanderkruge It is JUST as sophisticated. The EyeToy IS basically a webcam using this kind of technology. The Kinect uses this kind of technology and some other nifty features to speed it up a bit, and also some infared lasers to get depth. But it is basically the same thing. Also, the PlayStation Move is an EyeToy only tracking the colors of the controllers (basically) to increase perfomance.

  • How long until there's games that I can play with my webcam like this?What do you think? :) I mean - ok, there's all these motion capturing console games, but someone must have thought about using webcams in a similar way for sure? :) (obviously not as sophisticated)
