open your CPU and screw off the DVD ROM and try to clean the laser, dunno if it works

i have same problem , only my cd/dvd rom dont reads dvd but it reads cd . (my cd/dvd rom is supposed to read dvds and it stopped reading them about week ago) Anyone know what is the problem?

@yayareio1 this same shit is happening to me right now.. have you fixed it??? i tried doing startup reapiars but it cant do that on its own. THe drive will start up, spin a few times then stop thats it

you must copy any file into cd drive rw and thats can work,..it works with me!!man just trry it!!
