Great to see the young keeping traditional crafting alive. As a woodworker I know how demanding of skill the work our grandparents was. I've studied Japanese joinery and find it technically challenging but quite beautiful in practice.
Fantastic! I love the tongue and groove and pegs used. That house will stay up much longer than the modern slapped together jobs. I wonder what Japanese carpenters think about the North East colonial houses in the USA. many are still standing today and are put together with the same concept of tongue and groove and Pegs. Great Thanks.
wow, I am a carpenter and I would have to say, this is ISO 9009 work environment compared to here in the U.S. This is like LockHeed Martin factory making F22 jets, that's how clean this construction is. Wait, I take it back, this is more like Nasa working on the Hubble Telescope with the all the carefulness and measurements. No wander why Ferrari engines were made in Japan, freakin A, the human touch is more precise then robotics reading billionth of a millimeter in descrenpency. Amazing!!
Wow! this is so cool and great! This is so informative and comprehensive. Thanks for sharing!
