Many years later, I still love that quote by Vincent.

He makes it seem so uncertain whether or not he was actually joking.

This is, by far, my favorite cut scene from any Silent Hill game. It just delivers such a huge dose of doubt. You never can truly be sure if he was being serious, especially since it was in his best interest to say it was a joke, regardless of whether it was or not.

I adore the voice acting in this... Vincent isn't exactly wrong though. Silent Hill shows you the monsters in your heart, the demons in your mind. They can appear like anything you fear, or what you hate most. I wondered what Vincent was seeing in his own part of the world. I mean, Alessa in SH was able to force everyone to experience her nightmare, but I dunno if Heather could pull everyone into her version of SH like her past self could.

It's not a Vincent cutscene without him saying some creepy, maybe-intended innuendo.

Also, I have no idea how anyone could think that he wasn't joking. That makes no sense in context. Vincent is the biggest asshole in the world, of course he'd mess with her head. Besides, if she was actually killing people, he'd probably never go around her on account of having a survival instinct. Why would he think that, if she was killing people, he'd be safe?
