I always .iked the instrumental themes. Burt Bacharach's 1969 "On a Bicycle Built for Joy", incorporporated into the classic 'Raindrops keep fallin' On my Head" for Butch Cassidy, was used for a long time!
Wonderama, Bozo's Big Top, Sheriff John, and a few others like engineer bill, hobo kelly, the baker man, pixie ann, skip and woofer, baby daphnie were kid show hosts of the nineteen sixties and early seventies. there was a noticeable change in the content and inflection of these shows after the end of the vietnam conflict. They were severely dumbed-down. - Perhaps because of political necessity.
@Superbatfan Yeah, good old MetroMedia KTTV. I remmeber when I was a kid, wanting to be in the audience...and getting pissed off when I found out from my buzzkilling older brother that it was taped in New York. :-D
"I Ain't Down Yet!" Was from "The Unsinkable Molly Brown",starring Debbie Reynolds as Molly,I discovered later!
