PART 18
I spend the rest of the day planning for Alex's party. But I just can't concentrate, Taylor is better than me when it comes to party-planning, but he hasn't come home yet. Also, what Demi said about this situation keeps spinning around in my head, why did Nick have to come back? Things were way more easier when he wasn't here, how am I going to explain to Taylor that he's back? Or maybe I just don't need to tell him. Just when I think of that, Taylor walks in from the main hallway and into the living room.

"Hey babe," he says smiling and kissing me on the cheek,"Sorry I'm a little late."
"If by 'little' you mean 35 minutes, then yes you were a little late home," I reply.
"Yes, got caught up in work," he explains taking out a bag of Lays potato chips.
"You work at the Home Depot," I say eyeing him.
"Umm...there was trouble in one of the aisles," he replies nervously.
"You know what, whatever, just stop being a pig eating a chips and help me plan Alex's party," I say sighing and rolling my eyes.
"Ok, whatever you want me to do, I'll do it!" he exclaims with a smile.
"Really? I give you an attitude and you're not mad at me?" I look at him surprised.
"Well, I want to make your life easier Sel, and I know having a kid at 20, college, job, all these things obviously stress a person out, so I'm here to help you, 'cuz I love you," he explains holding my hand.
"I love you too," I smile at him as I hug him.
"So I was thinking, reservation at a restaurant, just invite our family and friends," he suggests to me.
"What a perfect idea from a perfect boyfriend," I grin as I kiss him softly.
"So how about the Palm Steakhouse?" he says picking up a piece of paper and writing the name down.
"Cool," I say and look at Alex,"Alex, you're going to have a great 1st birthday party!"
"Yea! Nicky!" he says and my eyes widen.
"Did he just say 'Nicky'?" Taylor asks me.
"Uhm NO! He said 'sicky', he probably has a runny nose," I explain nervously picking him up,"Cmon Alex, let's get a tissue."
"Well make sure he isn't sick next week," Taylor replies,"We can't afford to cancel."

One week passes, and today is Alex's party at the Palm Steakhouse. This whole week, Demi has been all up in my ear about how I didn't call Nick and how I should of invited him to his son's party. I ignored her, I know for a fact that if Nick shows up then it'll be a hella dramatic when Taylor sees him. I dress Alex in boot cut baby Levis jeans and a Ben Sherman blue striped polo with black and pewter checkerboard slip-on Vans that Taylor bought last month. I leave Alex on the couch and tell him to sit there and watch Spongebob and TV. He nods and I go inside my room to change. Ten minutes later, I go back into the living room putting my earrings on. I'm wearing a silver strapless dress [http://bit.ly/8hE3hT] and I have to admit that I do look pretty good. Then, Demi comes into the living room putting on some lip gloss, I see her wearing a silver dress too [http://bit.ly/6VtYvL], but it's much shorter.

"Wow we look like twins!" Demi laughs,"Aww, and look at my little handsome godson!"
"We're going to be the most fashionable people in that restaurant," I reply with a grin.
"You bet we are!" Taylor laughs walking into the living room in an all black tuxedo suit [http://bit.ly/5ZjOm1].
"Wow, babe you look sharp!" I say smiling and kissing his cheek.
"Ooh look at my little boy, looking cool in those Vans!" Taylor exclaims throwing Alex in the air and catching him again.
"He's not your boy, he's Nick's...," I hear Demi mumble.
"What was that Demi?" Taylor asks her.
"Ohh nothing!" Demi exclaims,"So are we going or what?"
"Yes we are," I say happily as I grab Alex's Little Marc Jacobs dark grey hoodie.
"Cool, ready to party A-Go?" Taylor asks Alex walking out door.
"Yes daddy!" Alex laughs hugging Taylor.

We make our way down to the lobby and head to the parking lot. Taylor puts Alex in his car seat next to Demi, and throw him the car keys, telling him to drive as I get into the passenger seat. Taylor begins to drive, and after making a left, a right, and then another left, he takes the ramp onto the 405 South freeway. Then, he merges on the I-10 East. After more driving, twenty minutes pass, and we finally arrive at the Palm Steakhouse. I see some of our friends and Taylor's parents already there and waiting for us. I happily get out of the car, and Cole Sprouse, one of my friends from USC immediately comes up to us.
