A special treat for those who're interested in this kind of stuff;
Footage from an early build of Chrono Trigger.
Found on a tape with various footage from the V-jump Festival in '94.

Translation by GlitterBerri of http://berriblue.blogspot.com/ and the http://www.chronocompendium.com/

Subtitle timing by Alcahest.

Some random minor tweaks and the video rip itself by... yours truly.

    Why did you put "subtitles" on the title when there aren't even any?

    Used YouTube much? YouTube supports softsubs now, so you might want to check out the triangle shaped button in the lower right hand corner of the video window and enable "CC" (Closed Captions).

    You have to activate "Closed Captions".

    In the bottom right corner of the video window, there's an "up" arrow. Hover the mouse over it and select "CC" (it'll be red when activated).

    Hurray for softsubs!

    The ROM mentioned on Wikipedia is the so called "Sample ROM", which was available shortly before the release of the final game. That version is very close to the final, but contains some smaller differences and various leftover data.

    Think the guys over at the Chrono Compendium has done some good research on that one.

    If you're talking about the choir music, it's merely similar. It's not the same music.

    So Chrono Trigger was supposed to be released in 1994? The same year as FFVI?

    Unless they reused it in Chrono Trigger, this is in fact the music that plays whenever the characters are at the Millenial Fair.

    I got this on DS after FF4, on my older brother's reccommendation. At first I was a little disappointed that the graphics had not been rendered in CGI as they had in the DS remake of FF4, but when I realized how freaking amazing they were, I'm so glad that tehy didn't change it.

    Very cool to watch but it's always funny seeing older videos of people talking about old technology being cutting edge. I'm curious if there is any behind the scenes type videos on the production of "Secret of Mana" as well
