  • I'm VERY glad I watched your review. My daughter and I had just decided to buy this over the Cuttlebug because it's "cuter" - well - no - not if the plates don't fit!

    THANK YOU!

  • @sleepingamy92 Not only does it not fit the plates but you can't die-cut with it. Which means no using sizzix dies! Cuttlebug is awesome! I love mine!

  • i think i watched a ideo which used the spellbinder emossing matts with those plates..... have you tried those?

  • @sewsweet08 I haven't tried that - I actually don't have any nestablilites. On my wish list though!

  • does the texture boutique work with the red thick dies or the yellow or green??

  • loooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • Slice VS big shot

  • i too use my cricut to cut, and just wanted something to emboss with. i bought this and i LOVE it. it does exactly what i wanted it to. i'm sorry it didn't turn out to be what you needed. hope your mom enjoys it!

  • too bad take the machine back, I love my sizzix

  • I agree with you 100%- the machine would be far more useful if it accommodated Sizzix texture plates. It is a waste for those of us who own a Cuddlebug or Big Shot.

  • Anyway, this machine is good for cricut users...but not for anyone wanting to cut....it sucks for you tho, u got stuck w/ those plates! These companies charge soo much, but can NEVER make a well priced 'everything do-er' @_@

  • I just bought this from Micheals today using the 50% off coupon...paid $22.49 for it...n bought 2 cuttlebug folders. Came home n tried it. n just LOOOOOOVE it! I've used the cb @ crops, but like some ppl are saying, I have a cricut....I just wanted something to dry emboss w/. What I hate about ALL the machines, is the how small u have to have ur paper...wish there was a CHEAP, cute, 12x12 dry embosser....something we can use like the cricut, only wireless n 'light' weight! :)

  • you were looking for a machine to put your larger plates through. I do understand that crafting determination. A lil time spent reading/surfing about a product ahead of time prevents disappointment. The limitations are noted in the research. Yes, this Boutique is targeted for specific embosser-only users. Have a cricut, don't need die cuts, Boutique whammmo, perfect for embossing only. Its NOT a bad tool to not fit your large plates, it is a PERFECT tool for simple embossing.
