Back in August of 2004 I wrote most of and directed a musical revue called What If - we simply wanted to do an old-fashioned musical revue with no real theme other than the running gag of the What Ifs themselves. I wrote all the parody lyrics, plus some new songs, and there were also contributions from Billy Barnes, Doug Bernstein and Denis Markell, and Rupert Holmes. The show features Alet Taylor, Susanne Blakeslee, Paul Haber, Ryan Raftery, and Tammy Minoff. Choreography was by Cheryl Baxter and Joseph R. McKee, costumes were by Amy Adams (yes, that Amy Adams), and our pianist/musical director was Jose Simbulan. Here's a number I wrote called Annie - about a girl remembering how all she wanted to do when she was growing up was to play Annie. This song has since become very popular in talent contests for young girls and has won awards for several of the singers. Here it's sung by Tammy Minoff - who did play Annie when she was a child actress.
So, is that you in the picture on Warbuck's knee at the end?
