My first Banana bread. To make it you'll need:
2 3/4 cups all purpose flour.
1 tablespoon backing powder.
1 teaspoon baking soda.
1/2 cup butter or margarine.
1 cup sugar.
3 eggs.
3 ripe Bananas, peeled and mashed up.
3/4 cup of chopped nuts or a little nutmeg.
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract.

Grease & flour loaf pan, preheat oven @ 325 degrees. Sift the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda together. Mix the sugar & butter until it's a fluffy texture, the one at a time beat in the eggs. Mix mashed bananas with flour, then combine the two mixtures (wet:egg, butter, and sugar and Dry: Flour and bananas) and beat until combined. Pour into loaf pan and place in oven to bake for 1 hour and 20 minutes or until golden brown in color and a toothpick can be pushed into the middle and pulled out clean. Cool in pan for 10 minutes then place on cooling rack or other to cool completely.
