I met Ramon Martin Ricardo Osorio in Nueva Gerona on la Isla de la Juventud, Cuba. I'm pretty sure that he is of Cayman Island descent, given his features. This is the second of 2 songs he sang to me in the street.
After asking his name, he sings the following song:
In the neighborhood of the fanguero (El Fanguito).
I had to leave the neighborhood and hide in another one because some people wanted to kill me. While over there, there was a wife of a nasty husband. She bought me a drink and the drink spilled on my shirt. She asked me to come in so she could remove the stain for me. From brushing my shirt so hard, she knocked the buttons off. So to put on new buttons, she took the ones off my pants. Suddenly her husband arrived, so I hid behind a door but he saw my shoe sticking out. And without asking for an explanation, he pushed me three times and knocked me to the floor. Then he went to the kitchen to get a knife. I said "Ai mi madre!" ("Oh, my mother!") I get ready to jump. Right when he was about to stab me, the neighbors heard the ruckus and showed up. At that precise moment, I jumped the window and ran away without my pants.
Hello. My name is gabriela. I met this man. He is currently in louisville kentucy. I don't know spanish that well so its hard to understand him. But I saw him digging in a garbage once and I gave him some money because he looked like he needed help. If I may ask, do you know anything about him ?

I met this very same gentle old soul in my office. He sang to me with such emotion n conviction. It was beautiful music. It brought waves of memories of mi isla Bonita. Why, carefree spirits such as his, sing when the moment hits n inspires us. Gracias Martín you made my Day!
