This movie reflects my fascination with the Edgbaston Reservoir. It's got everything from wildlife to water sports to night photography to the weather to...
Highlights include a flying duck, a swan, a bumble bee at work and a great crested grebe diving. Well worth a view if you've got a spare 10 minutes.
Birmingham is famous for having more canals than Venice and this reservoir was built by Thomas Telford in 1826 to feed them. It's a little bit of paradise set in inner city Ladywood.

I was a bit disappointed that there was no swimming allowed.

Some people went swimming in the Reservoir earlier this Summer and ended up getting treated for hypothermia. It made the local news.

I go kayaking there on a friday night in the summer from 6.30-9pm .
Its a nice place to visit and loose your self for a few hours.
