Ruby goes out for the very 1st time..

Ruby our little baby African Grey goes outside into the big world for the very first time. Actually this is her 2nd time really but the 1st time she was out for about 30 secs.

My African Grey's eyes are really light, how come Ruby's are dark? Is it because she is older?

@JadeIsAGoodGirl No, the opposite. She was a baby in the video therefore had dark eyes. Ruby's eyes are now lighter and they go lighter and more yellow as they age.

Awesome, and I am glad you mentioned the harness. Even a parrot that has been trimmed can fly away in a breeze especially if frightened. Parrots do not know how to find there way back. They are not like pigeons. This parrot looks very well loved!

your grey was very affectionate as a baby. does she still let you scratch her like that? my grey will let me basically tickle him all over but only when he is in the mood. and if i ever tried to put a harness on him he would chomp me good for sure. how about ruby now that she is older?

@aviannightmare my african flew away (we were devistated and tried searching for her for 2 whole days) but then a few days later we found her walking on our neighbors backyard (she knew her way back home)
