Christians tend to see the grace of God as something that just forgives your sin when you blow it. But the grace of God also empowers your life so that you live differently, passionately, purposefully, and meaningfully.

This clip is an introduction to the sermon, "Of First Importance," preached by Pastor Mark out of 1 Corinthians 15 at Mars Hill Church Orange County. The sermon will be shown at all Mars Hill churches Sunday, December 11, and released online December 12.

  • @CogInAVice ..........word.......literally

  • @0311cowboy I have the Marshill app for my phone have been listening to the Genesis sermons. You should listen to them if you havent yet. Mark talks about the things to consider when moving. One is pray and listen and God may tell you where to go.

  • @0311cowboy I am sorry to hear that. Hopefully some of the godly men in your church will step up and fulfill the call to disciple others. But don't set yourself up for disappointment. No one is going to disciple perhaps like Mark Driscoll would. Mostly because those people aren't Mark Driscoll. And also be thankful. I am willing to guess you have more access to your pastor than you would have access to Mark in Seattle.

  • @dtothenew I have...i'm serving at Trinity Baptist, I sing on the praise team with my sister as well. I'm also the discipleship leader at my college's Baptist College Ministry. I've been a Christian most of my life, i've just never had REAL discipleship and nobody around here seems to have the time. :/

  • @dtothenew Very insightful and biblical point! I agree

  • @0311cowboy find a church in Georgia where you can serve and be served. The power is in the Gospel!

  • I just want to say that i'm all the way in south Georgia, and i would love to be able to move to Seattle, WA to be discipled by pastor mark
