The Bible teaches that baptism is not necessary for salvation (Acts 10:43-48; 1 Cor. 1:17). We are justified before God by faith (Rom. 4:5; Eph. 2:8-9). Since God works covenantally, it is important to understand that baptism is a covenant sign just like circumcision in the Old Testament. Circumcision was not necessary for salvation in the Old Testament nor is baptism necessary for salvation today.

  • "Regardless of which particular false doctrines they teach, false prophets and false teachers are an inevitable part of the last days."

  • Eph 4: 11-14

  • Beware of false teachers

Ephesians 5:17 "Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is."

Without bringing up anything on what was the person who is on their death bed doing before they got to that point, I would like to mention that when someone is in a hospital the medical staff in almost every circumstance will allow for someone to be taken to a bath tub and baptized, as long as a medical staff member is present. Babies on the other are without sin, therefore, no need for baptism

  • Does not say that they are saved because they simply believe.

  • @BlackFox0911 The first part of Mark 16:16 "He who believes and is baptized will be saved;" There are two words there between believes and baptized, "and is". Furthermore, if someone does not believe why would they get baptized?? This being said there is no reason for it to mention baptism in the following statement of "He who does not believe will be condemned" because without belief there is no reason for the baptism anyway. Also, John 3:18? What is your point? It says they are not condemned.

    amen

  • @BlackFox0911 Concerning Mark 16:16, Jesus very plainly says in the second part of this passage “he who does not believe will be condemned”. Jesus says in John 3:18, “He who believes in Him is not condemned”.
