Josh will share his testimony, and address issues such as "What is Truth," and "The Deity of Christ." He will share the importance of relationships as it relates to understanding the love and grace of Christ.
From my experience, everyone who believes in a god does so either because that is what they have been brought up to believe (if you had been born in India you would probably be a Hindu etc.), or because they WANT to believe in it. When you have a desired outcome it is quite easy to see things with blinkered vision. I like to consider evidence and facts, and I have no preference where it goes, whether there is a god or not. Do you believe in ghosts, angels, the devil, pixies & fairies? I don't.
How do you feel it's a misrepresentation? This man came to the conclusion of the excistence of a Creator by excamening the available evidence. The theory of everything coming together by mere chance, just doesn't add up. For example, in Darwin's days the complexity of a single-cell lifeform wasn't known. DNA wasn't known. Darwin himself stated that life had to become more simple on the cellular level in order to make evolution possible. It turns out to be the opposite. Open your mind. God Bless!
Well firstly I applaud you for reading the book, it is good that you look at information from all angles, as I think I do. I have watched the other video and I feel it is a misrepresentation. Some people say that the universe has been created for us, well why is 99.999% of it incapable of human life? I try to base my views on evidence, and there is so much against the existance of a god, it is overwhelming. It would be nice to think there is a god protecting us, but it just doesn't add up sorry.
No, I don't agree. I believe definitions are factual. And I believe most human beings have roughly the same general idea about what's hood or bad. Caring is good, hating is bad. Most would agree. Therefore I believe it is something in us that makes us more than animals. I have read the book and have had numbers of lectures about it at school. But I find suggestion, not evidence. Want to know what they know? See 'Our Solar System: Evidence For Creation' on Google Video. Very clarifying. God Bless
EdjeBos, you are right, I am not able to say that what I regard as "good" is what everyone else does, but you could say that about almost every definition. So from what you say you cannot say god is good either can you? I honestly mean no offence to anyone, I just find it interesting that's all, and I suggest if you really want a faith test read "On the Origin of Species", and think about it, really think about it.
12345672609 - someone said this guy had a great message to deliver and it was worth watching - I beg to differ. I do find it interesting that so many have faith in something without any proof that's all. No big deal.
Define 'good'. Who is good? A muslim blowing himself up in a crowd believes he's doing a good thing. A vegaterian not eating meat believes he's doing a good thing. Is what's good in the eye of the beholder? If it is, everyting anybody does while believing it's a good thing, ís good and you or anybody else can't say anything about it. If you think one of the above isn't 'good', where do you base that on? Where does 'law' come from? Use your open eyes and try to SEE. God Bless.
Jon7Lane.....just a thought....why are you still searching if you're already satisfied? Just wondering why you were watching this youtube to begin with. God is the only one Good...and anything we possess on our own is just our own self righteousness. God is there to fill us up with something other than ourselves..the only way to freedom and true contentment....
Hi Josh! I traveled with you to Russia in 2000! What a trip! Thanks!
