This video gives a short tour through an animal cell. The cell is composed of a giant cookie, frosting, and assorted candies. This is designed to help children learn the names and basic functions of the cell and its organelles.

  • A pre-service teacher that is majoring in Elementary Education makes videos about "7th grade cell projects." I was assigned to create a video that uses direct instruction to teach about a single topic in a manner that is creative. I am sorry for those of you do not enjoy the video. This video was meant strictly for teaching the organelles of an animal cell and their functions. It was designed for a 5th grade classroom doing a unit on cells. Thanks to all of you who did post the pleasant comments
