  • What is wonderful and unique about this performance with this particular song IS her condition in which she sang it. She did not just prettily float along until the end because she couldn't; it was a struggled journey. She faced obstacles in this song that we witnessed her overcome. That is the strength of this performance, especially as she climbs to that last note that seemed triumphant against all the others, without break, courseness or any trace of prior weakness, with complete victory.

  • wow she sound so amazing and raw and real ..i love the hoarsness of her voice

for me it just adds to the emotion. lauren is a one of a kind artist i love her

  • @VinnieChannel the devil sure is working overtime with these lies he tellin'..

  • @MisterFaiqueNaym No bitch. Do your homework. Lauryn Hill had a gagging order indefinitely placed on the tape recording after the crowds reactions. Why would anyone need to put a gagging order on footage of themselves unless they're guilty. You're dismissed.

  • @VinnieChannel lol... CLEARLY YOU haven't heard of the MTV incident. NO ONE has.... it didn't happen. the RUMOUR got started when a guy called into the Howard Stern Show saying he had SEEN this on Mtv.... when Ms Hill called the show, he totally changed his story- talkin' bout "Oh you know...that's what the streets are saying." She says "No I Don't KNow" this guy was just looking to start some stuff and he succeeded because 15- FIFTEEN YEARS LATER ppl like you choose to believe his lie. wake up

  • @MisterFaiqueNaym Bitch stfu, don't justify her being talented as an excuse for her to be racist. There is proof, clearly you haven't heard of the MTV incident.

  • @VinnieChannel prove it or stop crying about it...hell... as if there are no ACTUAL PROVEN racist white "talents"... i'm african do i listen to/ support people that hate me? HELL NO!.!. Its a choice

  • @9685tikka HORRIBLE FACE? listen, I'm going to level with you, and i don;t have anything against you bitch, but Ms. Hill has always been beautiful and if you can't enjoy this MUSICAL performance because she is sweating.... well then hey...don't like the broadcast change the channel... stage lights are a bitch to be under.. thats why i no longer judge beyonce for being scantily clad on stage... but just for the fun of it how 'bout you post a picture of your assumedly NOT HORRIBLE face..cheers

  • @MrCIMASTUDENT how can anyone love YOU... answer= they don't.... talk to jesus ...he cares...he'll comfort you in your time of need #PattiLaHellion

  • Miss flack did not write this song an Irish man by the name of Ewan Maccoll wrote it.

  • I saw Lauryn in concert in L.A a few weeks back over at USC.. She was on the bill with MUSE,Rage Against The Machine. She was upset with the sound guys. I could bearly hear her sing ,,over the music. Besides her mood was not so positive and the audience could sense it?? Roberta Flack written and composed this sing,,I prefer Miss Flacks versions better..No offense..
