Samantha - 21 year old who is deafblind

Samantha has Congenital Rubella Syndrome. She is profoundly deafblind and communicates using minimal signs and staff working with her will use objects to tell Samantha what is happening next in her day. She needs constant one to one support and has four key support workers who work on a rota basis. Samantha lives with her mum and siblings who are all younger than her. Sense has been supporting her since she was an infant. She attends the Sense Garden Room one day per week as part of her day service. In this film you will see Samantha at the Garden Room and hear from her mum. Her massage therapist Graham and Josie represented Sense, the UK deafblind charity.
