One of my all time favorites. Chet advised a teenage Dolly to stay in school. She thanked him later. Dolly spent some time with Chet at his home in his last days. They shared some laughs and tears no doubt.
Thanks Doug

The version I'm familiar with is from a Chet Atkins box set- an RCA release that's no longer in print. However, it is available on "A Master And His Music".

@BackToTheBlues "All that good part ain't all Chet...all that bad is me." - She's great!

Great song. Would have been good to change the pic to Dolly half way through

Chet Atkins always loved doing guitar with Dolly Parton singing on her songs. This one written by Dolly is one she regularly did in concert from way back in the 70ies to even now, just with her own guitar or sometimes with her backing singer and nothing else; She also sang several fun fast speed. You also have an excellent duet between them on her song 'Love you for always,' on Ralph Emery show. Chet accompanies her again on her song, 'I'll make your bed, ' in Slow Dancing with the Moon.

Wow!!! I love it!

To my mind Dolly's an under-rated guitarist herself - just listen to her playing on her side of the audio track. Lovely!

Thanks so much for this.
