A BBC radio presenter was fired after making "completely unacceptable" comments about Asian taxi drivers, the broadcaster said today.
Sam Mason, 40, asked a Bristol cab firm not to send an Asian driver to pick up her daughter because "a guy with a turban on is going to freak her out."

Is Sam Mason a racist? Who cares. It doesnt mean anything else than being European nowdays. Whatever you do, you are racist.
I dont blame people moving out of England because of anti-white racism. I would not want to live in country that hates me because of my skin color.

I think you'll find that Bristol City Council's taxi examination is VERY lax compared to others in the country; immigrants who have in the country less than six months can sit and pass the exam. Because of their limited time in the UK, CRB checks cannot be made on them.
There have been many problems with this vis-a-vis sex crimes.
Many established taxi drivers (including "Asians") are concerned about this threat to their livelihood and are calling for tighter regulations.

Asian or any other foreign taxi drivers in the uk are not CRB checked as there records are un-traceable. British ones are. It was said in the wrong context and has totally been blown out of proportion.

Charlotte, can you prove that fact? You are telling me that only english drivers are checked by cab companies. I think you will find that it is the same one way or the other for all drivers.
