how to fix vista computer mouse problems

this is a video that i made on how to fix your vista computers mouse lag problems.
for the people that could not hear me in the video, to do this:

1.open your start menu
2. go to control panel.
3.double click on hardware and sound
4.double click on the mouse menu
5. go to the device settings tab.
6. when you find the device that you are using to control your mouse, double click on it.
7.under select an item, double click the pointer motion menu
8. single click edge motion menu
9. chose either only when dragging or dragging and pointing
10. click apply and OK
11. this time, double click the edge motion menu
12. go to edge motion region
13. after adjusting the settings for how you want them, click apply and OK
14. go to edge motion speed.
15. pick either the finger pressure or fixed speed option note that if you pick the fixed speed option, you will need to move the slider to the setting you want
16. after you have adjusted your settings, click apply and OK

you should then notice that your mouse has no more lag or very little lag.

can you just hold the Cam on the Screen only !!!

cause i'm getting a headache from keep moving the cam from it's position up/down right/left >.<

Thanks Omg plz help I have a vista compaq an the mouse works fine but the mouse has a scrolling to it on the side right an the mouse has two clickers the botton an also the touch surface on the mouse it won't click any idea how to fix that? it's a laptop

im sorry. this is not a related question but PLEASE help me. idk what happened but all the icons to start programs on the "all programs" tab on the menu is gone. i check add and remove programs and the programs are all still in the computer. HOW DO I GET THE ICONS BACK IN THE MENU? PLease HELP me :'(
