Okay - for those of you that asked for BETTER Audio / Visual equipment ... once again - THE TONE KING DELIVERS!!! Here is the VERY FIRST cut, using all new, upgraded equipment ...

Video was cut using a Canon HD Video Camera at 1920x1080. Narration audio was cut using the built in stereo camera mic. Amp Audio was captured on a 2nd audio track, using a SM57 into a Tascam digital recorder giving CD-quality 44.1kHz/16-bit audio. Video mixing software was also updated. No more Windows Movie Maker. This was uploaded to YouTube as NTSC DVD Widwscreen 720x480. The video itself was cut at 1920x1080. The reason you hear 2 tracks of narration audio is b/c I faded in/out (camera mic for narration, SM57 for amp audio). btw for what its worth the sound on the camera sounds more representative than that mic'd cab

tehsimo :-) ... I can't help but smile at that comment. One of the things people have been asking for about 1 year is mic'd cabs. It's funny ... the very first video that gets mic'd ... someone suggests the camera audio :-) Here are the facts the way I see it. Personally, I think the camera picks up audio the way your ears do, so I DO agree with you. No one puts their ears up to a speaker cabinet, so why should we mic it? But, it does cut down on the background hum & hiss. Thanks man!!

Hey DonT - I did. If you click on HQ, you'll see an option to watch it in HD. Am I missing something? If there's another way to do it, let me know - I'm always open to suggestions. Thanks.

the HQ makes it better but not FULL HD which your camera can support. Maybe you can try uploading it at a higher resolution? I have tried uploading some of my videos in HD but none of my attempts succeeded

Wil YT play HD, or only HQ? The problem the way I see it is the file size. I finished the final produced video at NTSC DVD Widwscreen 720x480, which was almost 500mg. Anything larger will be well over a gig. That's a lot of storage space :-) what is 60000kbps in resolution terms? And, why did your HD files fail on the upload? My guess would be b/c they only support up to 1G on the upload.

I own a TopBoost and..its a pretty cool beastie. But doing the video (and it is a good one,btw)..I wish you'd used passive pickups. I mean, think about it..the whole Vox vibe was 1960s..and the pickups at the time were passive..so..fwiw...that would've been vintage-correct. but hey its 2009..so its cool.

assuming its set up right, a floyd will stay in tune for months, only requiring occasional tweaks from the fine tuners
