The sump as it is now. About every 3-4 weeks I remove a basketball size ball of chaeto algae which I give away. I have moved my zoanthids into the sump to protect them from busy claws. The display has a clownfish, lawnmower blenny, 2 peppermint shrimp, 4 blue-legged hermits, 2 large brittle stars, 4 astrea snails, and 1 turbo snail

that's an Urchin skimmer

  • it's 42 watts, 6500K, and I got it at Lowe's for about $9-$12, i can't remember.

  • What type of light do you use to keep the good growth?

  • @MickOrioles

    it's a full-spectrum compact-fluorescent

  • do you leave your sump lights on the chaeto on all day long?

  • @1103jester

some people do, but i just kept mine on for about 12 hours at night, when the main tank's lights were off. this helped control CO2 levels and kept my oxygen levels up as well.
