@CnChenn Thanks for your reply.

@fuxuan97 Buy a bigger sdcard :)

@Excluded20 It may be that the kernel does not support it. I am not sure since I don't own a milestone myself, but check with your developer if the kernel has ext2.ko.

@brittanyluvstobi If you are booting from sd dir (fat32), you will not need to partition as that would not do anything.

I would like to format my SD to ext3, because I want to create symbolic links (the fat32 doesn't support it) on some folders. Any 1 knows if it is ok with Android (since it uses a linux kernel...I guess there's no prob, but I'm not sure).

@asphixmx Android only detects fat32 for the first partition (the partition that you store files, music, videos). You cannot change that to ext3. If symbolic links don't work for you (ln -s or ln), then try to use the mount to "symlink" directories (google on usage, usage on linux is slightly different than android, use mount -o bind)

My pc shows the removable disk "Android" with only 1 gb space in it. when i locate it using minitool, it shows 3 partitions. Fat32, ext2 and about 6 GB unallocated. What about the unallocated space ?? How can I use it ?

@harshdave If you have a custom recovery installed, such as CWM or AMON_RA, you can just use that to partition your sdcard much easier.. All data will be deleted so back it up first, and then partition your sdcard in recovery.
