to add to my point and in support of this uploader's position, i'd like to state my position that selby is a top player in terms of break building and safety caliber, hes got all the right tools to win matches. but it seems like it's after 2007 season there's a hihghly significant number of occasions in which selby utilizes this tactic, even though there's absolutely no need to resort to touchy touchy game when there's clearly another way out, regardless of its successfulness.

I know what your saying tho Mark Selby is a twat lol id love to play him id keep putting him behind the balk colours and clear the balls everytime players on t.v take too long and worry too much if they play natural like Ronnie than you will win more of course you miss the odd one but there so slow and boring wanna get on main tour soo bad but moneys stopping me :(

@Cream147player You plainly don't understand what I mean.

@TheRocketExpress I guess your'e right. Selby got a lucky shot which made it difficult for Higgins and when Higgins got lucky not to have dropped the white, he threw the towel as if to say "u lucky bastard". The only good thing is Higgins didn't see Selby throw the towel, which i believe might have annoyed him and could have have had an effect on his game...

@DLPBurke How does a player like Judd Trump win the UK championship then? He's certainly not a defensive player.
-
@giulienk Snooker favours defense players like Selby, they just wait for mistakes or annoyance off opponent from their 100 defence shots, often very simple defence.

mate, you've read my mind. i was gonna ask you about this particular match. its @#$!%!@ that selby initiates the touchy game and then request a re-rack.
Why's the title of the video for?

Mark Selby said re-rack, John Higgins agrees which he had an option not too...

@NicoKakitNg
sure, nobody is disagreeing with that point. the point is snooker is a gentleman's game with rules that are fairly loose due to reliance on player etiquette. when players like mark selby use the loopholes in these rules to "game" other players, that's the issue these videos are pointing to.
plus, this video is not really about the re-racks - its about his unsportsmanlike conduct in throwing the towel in the air.
surely, you don't advocate this kind of behavior?
