Just in case you have never seen a trained bunny, and just in time for Easter, here is a little silliness to bring some cheer your way! Pallina (which means "tiny ball" or "bead" in Italian) loves to play. I have been working with Pallina on some tricks. (Please turn up your volume so you can hear her responding to the various commands.) She loves to make a nest out of her pile of blankets in her room, and I happened to catch it on film. After Pallina does her hard work, she likes to help herself to her reward. In this case, mangoes. You'll notice the Big Finish in which she is essentially telling me "Enough with the tricks already Food Lady!" Ha. She's such a lovebug. Without further ado, I present "Pallina Does Her Daily Chores." (Filmed on my iPhone. Copyright 2010, NLKrakora)

  • Pallina in finnish means "as a ball" :P

  • @Henppa7 Hi Henppa, that's so interesting! I named her "Pallina" after the Italian word which means "tiny ball" or "bead." (It is also the name for the little ball in the Italian game Bocce.) I named her little boyfriend "Pochino" which means "wee bit" in Italian.

  • She's like Bunny Einstein. Too cute. What type of rabbit is she?

  • @CosmoHunter24 She's a Netherland Dwarf.

  • What a little cutie!!! Bunnies are very intelligent and good companions - just make sure you do your research first. Pallina's mum obviously has!!

  • @8bunnies4me You're absolutely right. Bunnies are not like cats or dogs, and have much more delicate little systems, so if you're going to be a bunny mom (which is a fantastic thing to be!) then it is important to do your research, get a vet who specializes in exotic species, and then be prepared to be continuously astonished and amused by these sweet little creatures.
