Tales of the Abyss Boss 09: Ancylopolyp (Very Hard)

Party levels before and after the fight:
Asch: Level 24 to 28
Natalia: Level 19 to 26
Jade: Level 41 to 42
Anise: Level 41 to 42

I stand by the statement that I cannot play as Luke as I didn't even get a chance to hit Asch once in the Yulia City duel(think I should put it up anyway?). That's why this is boss 9 instead of 8.

But anyway, this is an interesting video.

So if you hadn't seen my other two earlier videos, you'd realize that I'm playing around with the camera, and I thought the darker brightness sounded like a good idea at first, but...

Anyway, the point is that with this second run through the game, I carried over Combo experience rather than going for 10x exp. This became helpful(depending if I do mad crazy high combos) but also hurtful, as in this battle.

I show proof of this with the start of the video. Going through the whole Ortion Cavern with a level 24 Asch/Luke(since their levels are shared... and I tried to level him up in Akzeriuth too) and a level 19 Natalia wasn't pretty. My other alibi is that I can't really play as Asch/Luke that well either, which you'll also see in the video.

I believe I kept the same button settings for Asch like I tried with Luke:
Neutral O - Havoc Strike
Up O - Light Spear Cannon
Down O - Lightning Blade
Forward O - Rending Thrust

and shortcuts:
Up - Slag Assault(never used it)
Down - Steel(although I keep forgetting I didn't put FSCs with Asch)
Left - Demon Fist
Right - Demon Fist

Asch is set to be the same level as Luke. This is not just a combo exp run(meaning most of the experience earned is from bonus experience - and thus the inactive party members don't get it), I did not use Luke very much when I got to control Guy.

Luke's level = Asch's level.

Unless you mean the AREA, which is pretty much the only time where you're allowed to use him(unless you glitch).

Second runthrough, you need to have cast thunder blade about 200 times, I think.

And have 100 TP to spend.

I think this guy has trapped me in a sticky situation, I tried fighting him three times and failed each time.

I could level up inside the cave but I don't want to weaken my characters (health/tp) any more than they are already....
