I loved that mall. I especially loved christmas time at that mall.

Sad. I remember when it opened to much fanfare. Like many others, though, i guess it ran through its natural life. Cinderella City kinda died, too. thanks for posting this for posterity.

I know it was an outside chance, but if there's an outside change/hope. It is a moot point, but still...

Yeah maybe, but I doubt it. It was like the week they closed so the demolition plan was already in the works. My sis and I were just talking about the mall a few minutes ago and all the stores it had and the memories we had there. It's very sad, especially since I grew up in the area.

Maybe they were still holding out one last hope that they could save it. Was (still is) kinda sad.

very sad year we all know that the mall was closing that was last christmas there!
Suprised they bothered to decorate considering the emptyness of that mall. I've only been there three times, mostly I went to Aurora Mall which was closer to my house. Well, so long Buckingham Square, Westminster Mall is probably next IMHO.

I'm suprised they did too. I remember walking around the mall during this time, right before it closed. It was decaying, especially by the bridge and in the area that was dead way before the mall closed where Mervin's was. I mostly went to Buckingham though because it was closer to my house.
